Portable and wall mounted use
Before loading your lead into the stoA
Cable Tidy for the first time lay out your lead and remove any kinks and tangles that you may have acquired.
When positioning your stoA bracket keep in mind that you will want the stoA to pivot freely in the direction you are walking.
Please refer to the performance chart on the stoA packaging for the minimum loop sizes required for safe use. Please note that the stoA
cable tidy has been designed in a manner that will help prevent you
loading all of your lead onto the unit if the loops are too small for safe usage.
When you need to use your lead, pull the stoA handle towards you gently until it locks into its horizontal position, plug in the appliance that you need to use, turn on at the socket and walk away. The stoA will feed the lead, tangle free, as required. When not in use, store the stoA in its vertical position parallel with the wall.
If you wish to use your pivoting wall mounted stoA as a portable unit; loop the male end of the lead into the stoA slot then remove the stoA from the pivoting assembly. Be sure to store the stoA from its front hook whilst transporting. When you reach your destination, unload and plug the male end of the lead into a socket outlet, lay the lead on the ground with the handle of the stoA flat on the ground (see figure 1.), now rotate the stoA vertically 180 degrees (see figure 2.), pick up the female end of the lead and walk away, the stoA will feed out your lead. Please ensure that the stoA slot is pointed in the direction you intend to walk.
Please note if your lead is greater than 9.5mm in diameter, pick off what you need.
Helpful hints
If you want your lead to go around a corner, position your stoA back from the corner so it will feed straight out allowing the lead to bend around the corner.
If you need your lead to go down a slope, such as a driveway, position your stoA towards the back of your shed so that it feeds out your lead straight before declining the slope.
Portable use only
You will need to decide which end of the lead to load into the stoA slot first, this depends on your personal preference i.e. do you prefer to walk from your worksite to the socket outlet (male end first) or from the socket outlet to the your worksite (female end first)
To load your lead; hold the stoA handle firm with one hand with the main body in a vertical position, keeping the stoA logo at a right angle to the opposing hand, this locks the lead, preventing the loop from reducing in size while you retrieve another loop.
